Media is making us dumb!

Imagine, you are in an examination hall, staring at question paper, brainstorming, solving problems and writing answers. Such a boring experience, right. But wait, your mind tries to entertain itself. Everyone of us listen the melodious songs playing in our heads in such a boring situation.
Doesn't this distract you, while solving complex problems in your question paper?
This was not just about examination hall. In daily life, we are bombarded with lots of dopamine chunks, and not able to think clearly because our mind constantly tries to process that information that slowly becomes stuck at our heads. Anxiety, stress and depression are born from such habits.
In this modern electronic world, entertainment is free and available at your finger tips, literally.
Even making any kind of content is easy. Just use your tongue, not mind, to say anything in front of the camera of a phone and  upload it. People will surely watch it. Because they are free. Vulgarity is at it's peak, morals are getting lower....
Well it's all self evident and I don't want to waste my time talking about the problem. You all know the problem.
What are the solutions?
Everyone knows what are the solutions.
Just stop using digital gadgets needlessly.
Ask yourself, "what did I have been gaining with using Instagram? Just a way of wasting time, mindless scrolling?", "is that really valuable to build a streak on snapchat, when I know it's not going to build a real relation; infact it just take two clicks to take and send a snap?","do I really get any vital information from YouTube that matters to my life, my career, my relations or gives me peace in long run?", "do I really feel better in long run after listening romantic songs, or feel more lonely; keeping hope to someone to hold me?", and lots of such question you can ask to yourself to keep a focused attitude.
These question can vary, but the underlying idea should be to keep yourself more productive and calm.
To learn and grow, prefer to read physical books. They are scarce. They have gone through a large process.
Movies, songs, or any media content don't need a high level of process and easily consumable.
Meanwhile, reading book requires efforts, concentration and consistency. Writing a book take years of efforts from the author. He need to do lots of research, write several of drafts, adding his experience of atleast a decade and then he can give to publisher. This process doesn't stop here. The book will go to publisher, where editor and other ruthlessly check the grammer, typos, and lawfulness of writing. And so on. Then a book goes to publish.
Now when you pick a book. On an average it takes a week to finish a book.
Science says,"when you use more senses in a particular task, more it will be helpful to recall it in long run". Hence, reading books is more profound than watching videos to learn. Because you will not just glue you eyes to read a book, you will use your brain, meanwhile, watching a video only requires to stare at screen.
